Lower electricity bills
Every unit you generate is a unit you don't buy. How much you save depends on your roof, your usage and your tariff, which is exactly what the survey works out.
Get paid for what you export
Under the Smart Export Guarantee your energy supplier pays you for electricity you send back to the grid. An MCS certificate is required to qualify, which is why the certified installer matters.
0% VAT on installation
Solar PV installed in homes in Great Britain is currently zero-rated for VAT (confirm against current HMRC guidance before publish, the zero rate has an end date).
Heat pump compatible
A heat pump runs on electricity. Generate some of it yourself and the running costs come down further. We design both, so they work as one system.
Questions about Solar Panels?
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not. Most domestic roof-mounted solar counts as permitted development. Listed buildings and conservation areas are the exception.
Is my roof suitable?
South, east and west-facing roofs all work; shading and roof condition matter more than exact orientation. The survey tells you straight.
Can I add a battery later?
Yes. We can design the system battery-ready now so it's a simple addition down the line.
What is the Smart Export Guarantee?
A scheme requiring larger energy suppliers to pay you for electricity you export. You apply through your supplier using your MCS certificate.
